Knitting in my spare time and working full time was not working for me! In 2014 I began Scottish knitwear kids and grown ups as my full time job- never been happier! When the whole world is going mad – just knit is my motto!
Working full time and knitting part time was not really working for me. So I retired early and decided to enjoy my life more.
I had always loved knitting – just watching patterns grow, so knitting became the greatest part of my new life.
My husband gives me his full backing except when I don’t answer him because I am in the middle of a row!
One day, I received an email from someone who advised they were from the costume department of a new television series that was to be filmed here in Scotland – she had seen my work on another website and asked if I could do “Scottish” things – I said yes without really knowing what I was entering into. That TV production was the major TV series “Outlander!”
When you watch it – think of me – I had never heard of it before!!
Nowadays, I knit for all age groups and in different yarns to suit every pocket and taste
Anyway, I live in the beautiful Scottish Borders, about 30 miles from the ancient city of Edinburgh but I have to admit, although Edinburgh is my most favourite city to visit, I am a country girl at heart
